Lead Financial Planning & Performance Management Consultant (Level I or II)

Zurich North America is currently looking for a Lead Financial Planning & Performance Management Consultant for our Crop Business Unit. This role is responsible for driving and challenging the financial performance for the Crop Business Unit. This role provides strategic consultation and insights to business unit leadership and partners to deliver analysis, reporting, planning and forecasting to support the development and execution of the financial strategy.

 

This role reports to the Head of Crop Finance and our preference is for the individual to be based out of our Anoka, MN or Schaumburg, IL office.

 

Key Accountabilities: 

 

  • Drive creation of Crop’s financial plans and forecasts, in partnership with leaders across the Crop Organization
  • Analyze key industry drivers and trends, and present findings to senior leadership
  • Define performance management frameworks and implement measurement standards across functions
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner and financial modeling expert for key Crop initiatives

 

This role will be filled at either the Lead Planning & Performance Management Consultant I or II level.  The hiring manager will determine the appropriate level based upon the selected applicant’s experience and skill set relative to the qualifications listed for this position.

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

Lead Financial Planning & Performance Management Consultant I:

 

  • Bachelors Degree and 4 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
    OR
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
    OR
  • Completion of Zurich Finance Development Program, including a Bachelors Degree and 2 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
    OR
  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with 4 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
    AND
  • Experience with planning/forecasting models and Power BI or other visualization / scorecard tools

 

OR

 

Lead Financial Planning & Performance Management Consultant II:

 

  • Bachelors Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
    OR
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
    OR
  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including Associate Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
    AND
  • Experience with planning/forecasting models and Power BI or other visualization / scorecard tools


Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Insurance industry experience (Crop preferred)
  • CPA, CPCU, CFA or CTP
  • Strong Microsoft Office experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Additional rewards may encompass short-term incentive bonuses and merit increases. We encourage candidates with salary expectations beyond the provided range to apply, as they will be considered based on their experience, skills, and education. The salary indicated represents a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for geographic differentials pertaining to the location where the position may be filled. The combined salary range for this position is $57,500.00 $119,200.00. The proposed salary range for Lead Financial Planning & Performance Management Consultant I is $57,500.00 $94,300.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 10%. For the Lead Financial Planning & Performance Management Consultant II is $72,800.00 - $119,200.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 15%.
