A great opportunity exists as Senior Underwriter Liability and Financial Lines reporting to the General Manager, NZ.

This role is a leadership role within our underwriting team with two distinct components. For financial lines the role will identify areas for growth, and product innovations and work with the existing underwriter to grow the portfolio.

The role will develop, manage and support relationships across the market to position Zurich as a growth leader in the field. Additionally, the role holder will ensure that underwriting is undertaken in line with all appropriate guidelines and within authority seeking advice and support where necessary.

The liability component of the role is to lead the development of the line of business identifying where and how we can best grow and driving the new business proposition and support for existing and new staff. Again, it is about leading the line internally and externally, building relationships and highlighting the capabilities we have into the market to develop the portfolio.

The role will have at least one direct report, and the holder will take responsibility for ensuring that the training and development of the team is appropriate using own or internal and external resources.
