Our opportunity

 

As a Solution Architect for the Enterprise Content Management (ECM) Team, you will be reporting to the ECM Lead Solution Architect. The role’s main objectives are:

 

  • Leading the analysis of business requirements and translating them into solution requirements to ensure their implementation throughout the project life cycle.
  • You will be in charge of describing the solution requirements; validate the design against those requirements and create the technical quality checks to ensure non-functional requirements are met during project/s life cycle.
  • You will be responsible of identifying deviations from the standard and of submitting the solution proposal to the Design Authority Board for approval.  
  • Sharing subject matter expertise to others in the organization or supporting others in their efforts to deliver.
  • Ensuring compliance of the ECM Solutions with ECM Strategy, Group Operations & Technology Standards, customer project requirements and operational quality levels.
  • Understanding and being able to apply different delivery approaches (Waterfall, SCRUM, Zurich Lean) and perform, independently, business analysis processes in accordance with Zurich Project Management Framework and the Zurich Risk Policy.
  • The job’s core deliverables rely on delivering service to internal clients.

 

 

Your role

 

As a Solution Architect the role is focused on requirements & end-to-end architecture for ECM solution and its definition, to support business process & IT system changes. The Key tasks include:

 

  • Ensure that ECM Solutions are aligned to business needs and communicate the business benefits.
  • Participate in the ECM Solution strategy, innovation areas and technology roadmap globally.
  • Participate in the Solution Architecture Governance to ensure the assigned projects are compliant with the strategy and the group standards.
  • Understand customer objectives, processes, and products in order to make recommendations and proposals.
  • Work with key stakeholders to understand the business requirements, existing systems, and applications, and drive the ECM Solution for assigned projects.
  • Balance the competing constraints of business need, services, technology and quality to produce the specified product, service or result with minimal change requests required.
  • Produce requirement specifications and outline solution design documents throughout the project life cycle.
  • Perform quality review checks on project deliverables.
  • Participate on solution portfolio rationalization and operational simplification and identify cost and service efficiencies.
  • Apply consulting skills to facilitate decision making, resolve conflicts, and gain consensus and customer commitment.
  • Ensure methodical delivery and continuous improvements in shared services

Collaborate with global teams on strategy updates, planning, and investment prioritization.
 

Your Skills and Experience

 

As a Solution Architect for ECM your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

 

Basic qualifications:

 

  • Degree from a technical program, or a business-related degree with IT experience.
  • +3 years as SME/Solution Architect/Senior Developer in complex IT projects and landscape
  • Experience in Content Management projects is highly valued.
  • Knowledge and professional experience with FileNet/Nuxeo/OpenText technology is a plus.
  • Experience in Agile development framework, Scrum Master, tools and process is an advantage.
  • Experience to work in diverse, multi-cultural environments and to deal with ambiguity and changing/evolving requirements.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate with both, business and technical stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
  • Preferred certifications:
    - English fluent written and spoken.
    - Good understanding of quality management and development methodologies are highly valuated.

 

Soft Skills:

 

  • Positive attitude, strong communication (verbal and written) & interpersonal skills.
  • Team player and able to create and work in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders across all levels, including teams outside of shared services and solutions.
  • Act as a trusted advisor for the customer by having a holistic view of the different alternatives that would provide a solution to the customer/s.
  • Ability to discuss technical topics in business terms, including but not limited to give presentations to an audience with different level of technological maturity.
  • Ability to think outside of the box and be innovative by keeping abreast of new trends, identifying opportunities to bring in change for business benefit.

Primary work location is Barcelona.

 

This role requires occasional travel.
