Technical Monitoring Specialist


Our opportunity


The role is an operational role to maintain the monitoring environment and implement new monitoring solutions for all CH Applications. Main aim is to provide a proper Visibility, Notifications and Event Management to different stakeholders i.e. IT Operations Center Team, Application and Service Owners and also provide support and consultancy to Incident Management to facilitate Incident identification, resolution, Problem analysis and provide preventive actions. The Monitoring specialist ensures that all monitoring systems are available, reliable and updated engaging the different application and DXC teams within the organization.


Your role


As a Technical Monitoring Specialist your main responsibilities will involve:

  • Daily work on maintenance of monitoring from Production to lower environments.
  • Check monitoring status and daily confirm its stability and reliability.
  • Work with Application devOps team to understand and identify monitoring impacts on new Releases.
  • Implement monitoring new solutions aligned with release plan and demands.
  • Work with DXC teams, monitoring SW vendor, application teams, and Operations teams to ensure monitoring is working and updated.
  • Support Operations Control Center for Incident resolution and analysis.
  • Support and contribute to the event and incident management process to identify monitoring enhancements and adaptations.
  • Identifies Events/incidents actions that can be automated.
  • Provide performance and availability metrics out of monitoring tools.


Your Skills and Experience


As a Technical Monitoring Specialist your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

  • Studies: Graduated in IT degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 2 – 3 years in monitoring services and/or IT Operations.
  • Monitoring knowledge
  • Tools: Elasticsearch. Desired on Azure Monitor and/or SPLUNK.
  • Ideally also: Knowledge in Observability and/or AI Ops. Eager to. learn, proactive and passionate about new technologies and innovation.
  • Programming skills: Python. Ideally also: Javascript, html.
  • Database knowledge: SQL. Ideally also: No-SQL (JSON)
  • Operational knowledge desired: ITIL, DevOps, knowledge in Azure Cloud.
  • Fluent in English. Desired German and/or Spanish.
