Backend Developer

DevOps CoE within Group Technologies Operations seeks a Back-End Developer. In this role you will collaborate in a SCRUM team primarily with other developers, architects, and business stakeholders to build, implement, operate and maintain our products. In this working environment, the need to collaborate and communicate in an agile environment is of high importance.


 Your role


As a Back-end Application Developer your main responsibilities will involve:


  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
  • Understands customers’ processes and products and how they fit within the goals of the business unit.
  • Supports the implementation activities, in an agile working environment.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies (daily, retrospectives, …)
  • Prepare and support automated Unit/Integration Testing and document results.
  • Support training and sharing knowledge activities between team members.
  • Maintain and evolve CI / CD processes to ensure the continuous delivery.
  • Ensure documentation is up-to-date for properly application maintenance.
  • Responds to application problem tickets as necessary


Your Skills and Experience


As a Back-end Application Developer your skills and qualifications will ideally include:


  • Strong knowledge and demonstrated ability with Python & react programming.
  • Knowledge about relational databases for persistence layer.
  • Knowledge about containers and Kubernetes
  • Advanced skills associated with software design, modification, implementation and deployment, including object-oriented programming concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand functional needs and how systems can support those needs.
  • Knowledge of software development and Agile methodologies along with change and configuration management practices in multiple environments.
  • Ability to interface with management on a regular basis.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrable English B2 level minimum
