As a Business Change and Engineering Lead at Zurich Insurance Group, you will engage with Business Units and Group Functions globally to rethink and reinvent the way we provide services to our customers and stakeholders. Your role will be pivotal in driving continuous improvement and transformations through process re-engineering and redesign, aiming to deliver more effective and efficient services by increasing productivity. You will leverage cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence and digital technologies to drive innovation and transform the business, ensuring we stay ahead in a rapidly evolving industry.
Your role
As a Business Change and Engineering Lead within the Business Change and Engineering team, your main responsibilities will include:
- Designing and Implementing Process Changes: Improve business outcomes and customer experiences by increasing productivity.
- Driving Continuous Improvement: Enhance the insurance value chain, from sales and distribution to finance operations, underwriting, and claims.
- Product Engineering and Re-engineering: Conduct market research, design and re-engineer insurance products, and ensure compatibility with relevant platforms and UX standards.
- Leveraging AI and Automation: Implement and leverage Artificial Intelligence technologies and automation to accelerate business transformation and successful adoption.
- Digitalization: Drive the digitalization of core insurance business processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Defining and Developing Solutions: Coordinate and engage with various technical and business expertise to define and develop fit-for-purpose Technology, Data, Process, Product solutions and implementation plans.
- Managing Programs: Manage portfolio or individual programs either directly or via other program managers, ensuring alignment with Group Strategy and financial plans.
- Change Management: Ensure appropriate change management and implementation in the business, including transition to “business as usual” model.
Your Skills and Experience
As a Business Change and Engineering Lead your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
- Extensive Experience: At least 10 years of operational and business experience, including insurance-related functions such as underwriting, sales, claims, or customer support.
- AI Expertise: Experience in implementing and leveraging generative AI technologies to accelerate business transformation and successful adoption.
- Project Management: Advanced project management and program management skills with a proven track record of leading large programs across different functional areas and geographies.
- Process Engineering: Demonstrated experience with Six Sigma/Lean methodologies, process re-engineering, and automation.
- Analytical Skills: Strong quantitative and analytical skills to generate insights from various data sources.
- Leadership: High confidence in managing senior stakeholders and bringing thought leadership to influence and shape new end-state targets and delivery methods.
- Communication Skills: High degree of communication and negotiation skills, coupled with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to understand the business strategy and turn it into actionable plans, simplifying complex environments.
- Technical Excellence: Proficiency in defining and utilizing frameworks such as capability models, process frameworks, and product models.
- Goal-Oriented: Highly goal and result-oriented, with a strong emphasis on achieving measurable outcomes.
- Language skills: Fluent in English and a second European language is a must
