Business Engagement and Project Lead

Our opportunity

 

As an Engagement Lead you will have the opportunity to be at the forefront of the digitalization of Zurich and its journey towards a data driven company. You will work in close collaboration with the Business Units and Group Functions to develop new business opportunities for EDAA. You will understand and promote EDAA’s product portfolio with several stakeholders (internal/external). You will be “hands on” and literate with latest Business Intelligence and Data Science trends and technologies.

 

Your role

 

As an Engagement Lead your main responsibilities will involve:

  • Collaborating closely with organizational unit leadership, data and analytics teams and functions such as UW, Claims, Distribution… to understand business demand.
  • identifying new use case and building/leading their initial implementation.
  • Active, “hands-on” participation, working directly with stakeholders to create initial traction for EDAA’s services and products.
  • Promoting EDAA as Data & Analytics Delivery and Advisory organization.
  • Driving demand for data analytics and architecture services and act as a go-to person for engagements including measuring customer satisfaction with EDAA services.
  • Managing end-to-end solution delivery from idea formulation to hand-over to Service Management building and maintaining strong relationships with various business partners / project stakeholders.
  • Keeping abreast of company and industry trends in data and analytics, as well as data and analytics tools and technology.

 

Your Skills and Experience

 

As an Engagement Lead your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science and/or Business Management and 8 or more years of experience in Data and Analytics/Insurance industry field.   
  • Project / Program management, Software engineering and Software development: Proficiency Level High (preferable in the area of data analytics).
  • A track record of making complex business decisions with authority, even in times of ambiguity, considering the potential long-term risks and implications
  • Consulting experience (internal or external). Experience leading and facilitating collaborative solution design or strategy sessions for the insurance industry.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills up to C-Level and strong stakeholder management skills in global and complex contexts
  • Preferable insurance background and respective analytics use cases
