Our opportunity

 

Global Digital Platforms is expanding its team to meet the increasing demand for platforms, solutions, and professional services to enable digital business growth globally.  As a member of this team you will translate business needs into data requirements and delivery the necessary dashboards especially for Zurich’s global Customer Data Platform.

 

Your role

 

This is the content of the role that the successful candidate will be accountable for. Provide an overview of the responsibilities, what is expected what will the candidate have to do

 

As a GDP Data Wrangler & Visualist your main responsibilities will involve

 

  • Provide input on requirements for databases to ensure data is organized properly for reporting/analytics.
  • Evaluate, transform, and prepare source data into a usable format to develop visualization demonstrations.
  • Contribute to the delivery of assigned visualization Data projects and produce rapid prototypes before bringing it into production.
  • Provide BI, reporting, dashboards and visualization expertise and advise to fulfil procedural requirements or solve immediate problems.
  • Identify existing Data visualization assets for new opportunities where possible, research best practice and review and analyze detailed business models to support senior management in developing and improving Data processes and systems.

 

Your Skills and Experience

 

As a GDP Data Wrangler & Visualist your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics/Statistics and 3 or more years of experience in related field
  • Proven skills in working with modern technology platforms and visualization/prototyping tools i.e. PBI, Qlik, Azure Data components, Azure DevOps.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish language are mandatory, German skills are preferred
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Query and Database Access Tools - Proficiency Level Intermediate
    • Web Trends & Directions - Proficiency Level Advanced
    • Application Development (Web) - Proficiency Level Advanced
    • Data Warehousing - Proficiency Level Intermediate
    • Knowledge of Insurance Industry - Proficiency Level Basic
    • Data Modeling / Domain Modeling skills - Proficiency Level Basic
