International Underwritting Assistant


What are we looking for?


We are looking for our new International Underwriting Services Specialist for RC Management working closely with the Corporate Center teams and Receiving Zurich Countries (RC).


Your key tasks & accountabilities will be:


  • Define & document the Receiving Business Blueprint for new RC platform
  • Analyze and process the information, make comparisons, and map the information as part of the Blueprint.
  • Define & document the Standard Processes Procedures (SOPs) for the new RC Platform
  • Support the Change Management Workstream for the new RC Platform implementation
  • Support the training material creation and support countries with the system testing, onboarding
  •  Support the new target operating model after RC Module roll out
  • Support countries with any post implementation issues, maintain smooth and up-to-quality BAU activities
  • Define, establish and develop a governance model for the RC Module Blueprint
  • Maintain continuously the RC Blueprint and keep governance documentation up to date
  • Ensure countries are following the processes and guidelines as per defined governance model
  • Keep close collaboration with the RC countries, collect country feedback and change request for further system development and/or update and define new processes in the RC Business Blue Print
  • Act as liaison between RC UWS / Finance / IT teams and other functions
  • Communicate effectively on frequent issues and lessons learned (calls with local experts, training, updated user guide/guidelines)
  • Organize webinars and conference calls with all stakeholders
  • Report findings to the Central Team in Zurich in an organized way
  • Collaborate with the team on other tasks of international Services



What do we need?


  • Experience in insurance (min 3 years) with underwriting / underwriting service background (experience in RC role is an advantage)
  • Understanding about the Policy Admin processes and the life cycle of an International Receiving policy
  • High education diploma (Bachelor or Master`s degree) in Business Administration, Law or equivalent
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to details
  • Previous experience working in multinational projects
  • Facilitation and coordination skills
  • Organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent in English (other languages is an advantage)
  • Team player
  • Knowledge of lean methodology (Lean certificate would be an advantage)
  • Passion for process improvements
  • Good communication skills and ability to engage with senior stakeholders
