Investment Administration & Accounting (“IAA”) Barcelona is currently looking for an Investment Accounting and Reporting Specialist to join the Alternative Investments team.

 

IAA is a global organization and is part of Group Investment Management which currently manages approximately USD 170 billion of assets.

 

The Investment Accounting and Reporting Specialist will contribute to the ongoing work of the Alternative Investments team.

 

In this role, you will play a key role in delivering investment accounting and reporting information to our internal clients. Furthermore, you will have the possibility to enhance, improve and automate our processes.

Your role 

 

As an Investment Accounting & Reporting, Associate Director your main responsibilities will involve

 

  • End-to-end responsibility for our different asset classes in our alternative investment service
  • Preparing local and globally accepted accounting principles/statutory and quarterly IFRS financial statements
  • Quality assurance of the quarterly variance analysis supporting the group IFRS reporting
  • Preparing of the analytic dashboard including all comments for the local CRM (Customer Relationship Management) of your client
  • Resolving operational day-to-day problems referred from other functions of the business, ensuring an efficient and high-quality service when providing procedural advice and/or information

 

 

Your Skills and Experience

 

As an Investment Accounting & Reporting, Associate Director your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

 

  • A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in accounting
  • Knowledge of Alternative Investment products
  • 5 or more years of experience in a related field
  • Understanding of finance, accounting and operations
  • Good knowledge and practical working experience with international IFRS as well as local globally accepted accounting principles and regulatory requirements
  • Good know-how in alternative investment accounting as well affiliates and associate accounting matters is preferred
  • Fluent written and spoken English, German would be an advantage
