Your role

 

As an Investment Operations Director, Capabilities your main responsibilities will involve

 

  • Providing subject matter expertise: Sharing their knowledge and experience of the capability with the team to inform the development of strategies and plans.
  • Collaborating with other team members: Working with other team members inside and outside of the Operations community to identify gaps, opportunities, and challenges related to the capability and develop solutions.
  • Contributing to the development of capability vision: Participating in the development of plans and strategies to improve or expand the capability within the organization.
  • Implementing capability development initiatives: Participating in the implementation of initiatives to enhance the capability, such as training programs, process improvements, or technology adoption.
  • Striving for best practices, high standards, adherence to internal/external guidance compliance rules, excellence and supporting the organization in adapting to changes resulting from capability development initiatives and ensuring smooth transitions.

 

 Your Skills and Experience

 

As an Investment Operations Director, Capabilities your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

 

  • Knowledge of and ability to implement the practices, processes, technologies, and applications associated with banking transaction processing and records management.
    Ability to learn quickly in an ever changing environment is critical. The focus with this competency is on learning of emerging technologies concepts.
  • Knowledge of the investments business and capital markets along with the ability to analyze and evaluate asset types, market and industry trends, major issues, and regulatory considerations.
  • Demonstrated experience in driving operational excellence by continually optimizing processes, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and aligning strategies to deliver customer value and achieve organizational KPIs. 
  • Skill to drive the team to proactively select and execute tasks and autonomously organize to accomplish their work aligned with prioritized outcomes.
  • Ability to create plans and break tasks down into manageable and measurable components as well as managing multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
  • Creating clear, compelling, two-way, written, verbal and visual communications that inspire, inform, influence and engage a diverse range of target audiences.

 

Educational Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Finance or Banking.
  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Finance or Banking is preferred.
  • >10 years practical experience in Investment Operations, Financial Markets, Banking, or Insurance FSCM/FAM/TRM-SAP Treasury/ Financial technical skills is preferred.
