Our opportunity

 

We are looking for an Investment Operations Trainee to join the IAA team in Barcelona.

 

Your role

 

As an Investment Operations Trainee your main responsibilities will involve:

  • Responsible for correct daily processing, posting, and clearing of securities transactions, and income payments.
  • Responsible for timely month end closing activities
  • Net asset value (NAV) calculation for Unit Linked business and some non-Unit Linked portfolios.
  • Periodic reconciliation of securities holdings and cash account holdings

 

 

Your Skills and Experience

 

As an Investment Operations Trainee your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting.
  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting is preferred.
  • Fundamental knowledge of most common asset classes in traditional financial instruments, risks, and markets
  • Holding a CFA or similar certification would be highly valued.
  • FSCM/FAM/TRM-SAP Treasury/ Financial technical skills is preferred.
  • Client focus, combined with analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • To be willing to gain new skills and experiences, but also share your knowledge across the team.
  • To show commitment to your job and have a shareholder-value oriented mindset.
  • Good Communication skills.
