The Treasury, Investments and Payments area provides a shared platform and solutions in the area of treasury & investment accounting, financial transaction capturing and transmission.

 

For highly specialized, international customer groups, TIP is responsible for running, maintaining and enhancing the platform:

  • SAP FSCM is the Treasury and Investment Accounting Subledger Solution of SAP. With ECC6 and latest Enhancement packs, SAP FSCM provides State-of-the-Art Accounting Services and feeds into local General Ledger solutions.
  • Reporting and Analytics for Investment Accounting runs in a platform based on BW technology as a global solution for the whole Group and Local reporting needs.

 

Our opportunity

 

Investment Reporting Solution Architect
Based in Barcelona according to the Shared Service Center approach for the following supporting activities

  • Responsible for the Investment Application Reporting development lifecycle from design through implementation and production support.
  • Conducts the root cause analysis and providing solutions for production and development issues.
  • Contribute to and advise on the development of applications by understanding the requirements of customers and recommending application performance improvements, to ensure alignment with business requirements.
  • Support Service Manager by achieving KPIs for own area of influence and providing seamless operational support

 

Your role

 

As Investment Reporting Solution Architect, your main responsibilities will involve

 

  • Understand customers’ processes and products and how they fit within the goals of the function or business unit.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of “Business Warehouse” productive system and provide fixes for production incidents/change requests.
  • Participate in projects, delivering reporting solutions in a timely manner and with high quality
  • Pinpoint any data quality gaps and provide a solution to close these gaps
  • Design and Implement processes to minimize data quality risks
  • Supports performance tuning of BW systems utilizing best practices
  • Manage and monitor data loads and functions
  • Liaise with the BI Analytics IT teams to achieve better coordination and improve delivery times and quality
  • Make recommendations for application performance improvements.
  • Make recommendations for application de-commissioning.
  • Act as technical expert in a specific process or product area, conducting process reviews and initiating change in order to contribute to continuous improvement of services to internal customers.

 

Your Skills and Experience

 

As Investment Reporting Solution Architect, your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

 

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 5 years of total IT experience in finance Industry.
  • At least 5 years of work experience  in area of “Business Warehouse Reporting”
  • Experience in Data Warehouse Process Modelling
  • Bachelor/Master degree in advanced-IT or equivalent
  • Proven ability to lead and work with multi-cultural project teams
  • Experienced in building up and managing relationships with a view to achieving delivery targets
  • Strong Communication skills in written and spoken English.
  • Strong design skills with the ability to create solutions from complex requirements.

 

KNOWLEDGE:

The following areas of knowledge would be very helpful to a candidate to successfully fulfil this role. Required

  • Strong knowledge of SAP BW-reporting is mandatory
  • Strong Business Analyst skills (e.g. analytical skills, requirement engineering) are required
  • In depth understanding of system development delivery models, process architectures and the governance surrounding them.
  • Change Management methodology.

 

AN ADVANTAGE:

  • Good knowledge of SAP-FSCM (FAM module) is an advantage
  • Knowledge of Finance and investment instruments is an advantage
  • Knowledge of Investment Administration and Accounting processes is an advantage
  • SAP Authorization concept is an advantage

 

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Experience in Data extraction &ETL process is required
  • SAP BEX Query Designer / AFO (Analysis for Office) experience is required
  • Report Development experience is required
  • Expert Level knowledge of SAP BW
  • Advanced Level of SAP (functional modules, reports, jobs, transports, etc.)
  • Advanced ABAP programming in SAP BW
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP BW Extractor configuration for FI module
  • Understand Architectural Frameworks (SAP Reference Architectures, Architectural Frameworks, etc.)

 

THE FOLLOWING SKILLS ARE A PLUS

 

  • Knowledge of SAP BW Extractor configuration FAM module is a plus
  • Power BI Knowledge is a plus
  • SAP BW/4HANA is a plus
  • SQL Programing is a plus

 

 

OTHER SKILLS:

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); capable to lead meetings and conferences and to compose reports and technical/functional documentation
  • Work in customer-oriented manner on a daily base
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships in an international virtual environment
  • Have excellent analytical skills
  • Manage the daily work and tasks in a structured and efficient manner
  • Willing to gain new skills and experiences, but also share your knowledge

 

Additional Information

 

Primary work location is Barcelona. Given the global Platform and the responsibilities to support the core enhancements it’s required to have occasional travel.

Given the customer support requirements during peak periods (e.g. yearend close), it is required to be available upon agreement (On-call, Remote or Onsite).
