Mulesoft Developer

Your role

 

We are looking for a Middleware developer who can lead and help drive the API enablement of our Enterprise applications as part of the Source to Pay team,

You will have strong integration skills with demonstrable hands-on experience within recent integration roles including Mulesoft development and strong API experience.

You’ll work in close relation with Global Digital Platforms, DDC & Business Units.

You must be able to work in an agile team, but also comfortable supporting waterfall approaches encountered within our corporate environment

 

As a MuleSoft Developer your main responsibilities will involve:

 

  • Lead development of API enablement projects which will cover API delivery and API Platform management activities.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Analyze, design, build and document APIs with a focus on reuse and an ease of adoption.
  • Work with functional specifications to deliver technical implementations
  • Support production incident resolution providing timely communications on progress
  • Provide design and implementation review services alongside best practice support to less experienced developers.
  • Completes agreed work within established estimates and communicate status and issues promptly.

 

Your Skills and Experience

 

As a MuleSoft Developer your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

 

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • 2+ Experience in developing APIs, using enterprise integration tools such as MuleSoft
  • MuleSoft Development Certification with Mule 4 would be an advantage
  • Experience in various commercial integration systems would be an advantage; knowledge of a variety of data formats XML, JSON etc.
  • Experience of using Postman (or equivalent API tool)

 

Additional Knowledge:

 

  • Knowledge of REST design principles and API design / architecture best practice.
  • Knowledge and proven experience of three-layer API architecture principles.
  • Experience of working in the insurance or finance industry would be an advantage.

  • An experienced coder who is comfortable with using and communicating the best development practices: efficiency, resilience etc.
  • Proven knowledge of OAS and / or RAML.
  • Expertise in CI/CD practices using Azure DevOps
  • Experience in SDLC process and in working in an agile environment
  • Cloud Platforms Amazon/Azure
  • Proficiency in unit testing, all services using MUnit framework#LI-Hybr
