Reserving Actuary

At this point you might be asking yourself: Laia, how will be my day to day wearing the blue sweater?  I asked that question too.

 

Reporting to the Reserving Manager:

 

  • Prepare and perform actuarial analyses including loss and premium projections, consultation on actuarial models, or capital modeling under local GAAP, IFRS17, HGB and Solvency II regulations.
  • Participate in CUP and Planning exercise providing baseline calculation and other insights.
  • Support reserving, portfolio profitability management, reinsurance and market-facing business units in complex environments and lines of business.
  • Support Finance, market-facing business units, Claims, Risk, Capital Management, and other functions on reserving and strategic business decisions.
  • Provide consultation and technical expertise on actuarial models and risk issues.
  • Ensure that the claims provisioning processes are appropriately governed in accordance with Group, Regional, and Local regulatory policies.
  • Research best actuarial practice and review/analyze current practice area to support senior management in developing and improving processes and systems.
  • Ensure that processes and standards are consistent with internal actuarial policies and guidance and compliant with regulations; lead/participate in the implementation of systems and process improvements in own area.
  • Manage the flow and quality of relevant actuarial data to ensure robust output.

  • If you are an actuary with 3 or 4 years of experience in non-life reserves, are fluent in English and enjoy working with international colleagues, you are welcome to join us!
  • In our daily lives we use various tools. If you are an advanced user of Office, SAS, Python and ResQ. This is your place.
  • For us, attitude is a basic, if you are an enthusiastic learner, team-builder, proactive, open-minder and goal-oriented, you could be our new colleague!
  • Used to deal with deadlines.
