An opportunity has emerged within the Investment Management (IM) business to join the Finance & Operations team in an impactful and exciting senior finance role. 

 

As Senior Investment Business Controller, you will be playing a key role as IM business partner, by shaping the business of IM through both delivering valuable business insights and timely reports to Group Chief Investment Officer and designing and tracking performance metrics for the various businesses of IM. You will contribute to improving global planning and forecasting processes and support automating the financial monitoring activities. You will be leading quarterly IFRS reporting and analytical activities for both senior management and external stakeholders (investors, analysts, regulators, auditors). You will present the investment performance to senior IM management and will interface with multiple Group Finance and Group Risk Management teams as well as with local and regional Chief Investment Officer teams to assess the financial performance against plans and forecasts.

Your role

 

As a Senior Investment Performance Controller your main responsibilities will involve:

 

  • Monitor quarterly financial performance of various IM businesses against plans and forecasts
  • Ensure investment forecasts are reliable and realistic
  • Support the coordination of the planning and forecasting processes, analysing and challenging local assumptions and communicating results to senior management
  • Develop new analytics methods and enhance IM and Group Finance tools tracking the business figures and strategies
  • Deliver business insights and partner with the local businesses to support their medium-term strategy
  • Assess IFRS 17/9 impacts on investment performance and KPIs
  • Contribute to the design of future enterprise IT solutions in IM Finance and support digitization strategy of IM

 

 

Your Skills and Experience

 

As a Senior Investment Performance Controller your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

 

  • Solid analytical background and communication skills
  • Very good knowledge of investment products or CFA/CAIA certified
  • 7 or more years of experience in an insurance company or investment environment, experience with investment planning/reporting strongly preferred
  • Good understanding of finance and accounting operations
  • Good know how in insurance accounting matters
  • Fluent written and spoken in English
  • University degree in Finance (or related)
