Accounting Specialist in Assumed Accounting team with French #LI-Hybrid
Join our team in Bratislava, Slovakia as we seek a reinsurance professional to join a dynamic team. As part of Zurich's International Programs, we play a crucial role in helping multinational customers effectively manage their global risk. Our team in Bratislava is responsible for collecting reinsurance balances from insurance companies worldwide, including both Zurich's own subsidiaries and third-party insurers. These balances originate from insurance policies issued by these companies which they issued in favour of local subsidiaries of multinational companies within their respective territories for, which are then reinsured into the Zurich Group. As the Specialist, you will be responsible for assign activities of the team.
Your role
As an Accounting Specialist, your main responsibilities will involve:
- Responsible for collecting reinsurance balances from insurance companies around the world.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders across different geographies.
- Further improvement of key performance indicators.
- Maintaining the quality of data in administrative systems.
- Conduct all activities in line with operating protocols.
- Provide support to customers, colleagues and insurance partners on less usual queries and arrangements.
- Maintain and further develop the relationships with insurance partners.
- Support the further automation of the processes.
- Training of the junior members.
- Participation in project.
Your Skills and Experience
As an Accounting Specialist, your skills and experience will ideally include:
- University degree in a relevant field (e.g. finance, accounting, or insurance).
- At least 2 years of experience in reinsurance operations for multinational companies.
- Understanding of reinsurance principles, practices, and regulations.
- Communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders in different regions.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and risk management.
- Proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
- Proficiency in French (both written and spoken).
