Pricing Analyst/Data Scientist for UK team - General Insurance #LI-Hybrid

Join our EMEA Pricing and Analytics Hub supporting the UK Personal Lines Pricing team in various analytical activities!
As a Pricing Analyst, your challenges will be to analyze complex data, develop predictive models to estimate customer’s risk and behavior using advanced modelling techniques and build dashboards and impact analysis tools to support risk analysis and portfolio management.
Moreover, you shall also help in transitioning existing models into newer data science frameworks.
Your role
As a Pricing Analyst, your main responsibilities will include:
- Application of analytical techniques to complex data sets to develop distinctive risk insights that deliver improvements in business results
- Building predictive models for various insurance products, for UK market, to reflect the risk the company is taking on
- Preparing data for actuarial analysis using scripting languages such as SAS, R and Python
- Implementing data science and statistical techniques, including Machine learning to discover new patterns in available data
- Running profitability analysis and interpreting the results
- Building impact analysis and monitoring tools
- Automating and enhancing processes to improve efficiencies
- Communicating analytical insights within the company
- Participation in Research and Development - testing of new software, methodologies, developing best practise
Your Skills and Experience
As a Pricing Analyst, your skills and experience will ideally include:
- University education (Master's degree) in Financial mathematics, Actuarial science, Statistics, Quantitative methods, Computer Science or similar
- 3 years of experience in Data Analytics or Data Science area are required to be able to step into the role.
- English language –Upper intermediate (B2 or better), spoken and written
- Interest in data research, predictive modelling, statistical analysis, data transformation and / or other analytical role developing insights for use in business decisions
- Technical experience in Insurance industry is an advantage – especially knowledge of EMBLEM models.
- Knowledge of programming languages is a plus (SAS, R, Python, SQL etc.)
- Creativity, open minded and proactive approach
- Strong communication skills and team player
