Azure System Engineer (Platform management)


We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Azure System Engineer to join our international Business Technology Solutions organization.

In this role, you will be responsible for all cloud-based platform related activities in coordination with the team to ensure compliance and continuous delivery following agile methodology.


You will proactively expand your expertise in both existing and new functionalities, along with best practices in the relevant space applying these learnings in your daily job.


Your role


As a Azure System Engineer your main responsibilities will involve


  • Managing and monitoring Azure subscription and all the platform components (building blocks) required to operate the application
  • Operating Azure platform services used by the application including Azure SQL, Databricks, data factory and Azure Analysis Services
  • Aligning the Azure platform with demand, this includes scaling up and down the infrastructure currently and should include future automation of activities
  • Integration of platform with other application e.g., Active Directory, external NW, Share point, O365
  • Administration of solution components and dependencies which are deployed within Azure
  • Making sure solution and app development is aligned with security best practices
  • Coordinating resolution of Platform related incidents
  • Reviewing system changes and approve / raise exception where need
  • Vulnerability management, governance, patching of the overall application platform
  • Support in maintaining and enhancing automated deployment of the solution including IaaC (Terraform), Azure DevOps.


Your Skills and Experience


As a Azure System Engineer, your skills and qualifications will ideally include:


  • University level education or equivalent
  • 3+ years’ experience in Azure
  • Good experience with Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, Terraform
  • Analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent English and communication skills
  • Team collaboration skills
  • Familiarity with analytics (modeling, prediction, segmentation) preferred
  • Having experience in insurance and especially in the actuarial domain is a plus


We offer


Minimal monthly salary offer is 3000EUR/gross plus other pay elements based on your experience.
