Senior SAP ABAP Developer #LI-Remote

We are currently searching for an SAP Developer with our Financial Risk Governance team located in Bratislava.
The Developer will support and advise on the development of Zurich's own SAP based Group Credit Risk Application by understanding the requirements of customers and recommending application performance improvements to ensure alignment with business requirements.  This role will also involve performing complex SAP ABAP design, development, coding, testing, debugging, and correction of work related to the implementation. The developer will ensure that enhancements and changes meet business requirements and are delivered with high level quality.
 

Your role
As a Senior SAP ABAP Developer, your main tasks will involve: 

• Development, working along guidelines provided Lead Developer
• Performing complex SAP ABAP design, development, coding (using  ABAP OO/ CDS Views / WebDynpro / FPM / Fiori Elements etc.), testing, debugging, and correction of work related to the implementation. The programmer/developer will ensure that enhancements and changes meet established business requirements and are delivered with high level quality 

And your responsibilities will be:

• Understanding customers’ processes and products and how they fit within the goals of the function or business unit
• Working independently as an SAP Developer
• Development of Data Models (cubes/queries) for SAP Analytic Cloud, Microsoft PowerBI and SAP Analysis for Office
• Ability to work with business SME and technical staff to understand requirements and develops to specifications
• Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve technical problem
• Performance tune HANA models
• A good understanding of security roles and privileges
• Estimating Rough Order of Magnitude for the level of effort/cost of new application functionality
• Performing quality review checks on project deliverables
• Supporting and reviewing the documentation of functional specifications
• Acting as liaison between the Business and IT, as assigned
• Supporting the implementation activities, troubleshooting system environmental issues, and providing training as required
• Specifying and/or recommending Integration and Parallel testing criteria

Your Skills and Experience

As a Senior SAP ABAP Developer, your skills and experience will ideally include: 

• Bachelor or Master Degree and at least 3-5 years of working experience
• Experienced SAP ABAP developer: 
• Knowledge with WebDynpro/FPM or SAPUI5/FioriElements, ideally also experience with CDS Views and Odata
• Preferable experience with SAP Analytic Cloud, Microsoft PowerBI, or SAP Analysis for Office
• Strong communication skills in written and spoken English
• Able to identify and consider business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment
• Creative thinking and intellectual curiosity
• Team player with ability to operate in an international (often virtual) environment
