We are currently expanding the team and are looking for an individual to join and support the continued growth and development of our Retail business. We are looking for a Telephone Account Manager to join our Cardiff Team, and this could be you!


Our Telephone Account Management Team create, develop and manage relationships within a panel of small to medium sized Brokers (advisory businesses) with the aim of developing their relationship with Zurich, promoting Zurich proposition and products, to ultimately provide insurance and risk management protection to customers and their businesses, homes and cars.

This role is available part-time, job-share or full time. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren’t available full-time.


Key responsibilities: 

  • Build and manage relationships with Brokers to enable them to trade with Zurich, therefore supporting business retention, new business and supporting those Brokers in meeting and exceeding their customers insurance needs.
  • Make Outbound calls to Brokers, demonstrating a desire to win business, alongside managing tasks and Inbound calls.
  • Provide administration and sales support when required to more experienced team members.
  • Support Zurich's culture by demonstrating trading and negotiation behaviours.
  • Effectively use Business Systems to record all broker contact and identify sales opportunities.
  • Be an active team member of a large multi-location business.
  • Maximise the training and support you will receive to support your personal development and team goals.

Your skills and experience:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of the insurance industry/Financial Services and the legal and regulatory environment is preferable but not essential.
  • A solutions and service orientation.
  • Team player.
  • Strong skills in relationship building, active listening, needs analysis and win-win negotiating.
