The opportunity

Together with your colleagues you will build up and share your expertise in commercial General Liability Insurance. Team work is key alongside the independent coordination of your own portfolio from A to Z. You’re a transparent communicator and you want to broaden a national network with a passion for the Insurance business to help drive an organisation forward and make the difference.


What will you be doing?


Your responsibilities are: 

  • Manage, maintain and develop your portfolio with expertise in Liability with a focus on the National market
  • You evaluate and analyze the insurance risks for International customers
  • Manage, develop and broaden contacts with National insurance brokers and service providers determining their insurance related needs and provide proper solution(s)
  • Promotion and awareness creation around a new product offering in the International insurance market
  • Coordinate, follow up and process all administrative requirements regarding your customers and contacts where you work in a well-arranged manner with and on your files
  • Process data, analyze information and fact find consolidation to result in accurate decision making
  • Develop and roll out of new products by combine financial and analytical knowledge with assertiveness and commercial approach
  • Focus on results with a passion for the business
  • Deal making acumen and goal oriented
  • Working and contribute towards an excellent team performance



 What are we looking for?

  • Motivated self-starter with relevant experience in the insurance sector (minimum of 2 -5 years in General Liability)
  • Master degree/HBO in preferably law or economics with a profound interest for insurance
  • Clear and straight forward communicator
  • Ideally you are fluent in both Dutch and English.
  • Capable to take well informed, stringent and very knowledgeable decisions
  • Attention to detail, analytical thinking, service minded and structured way of working
  • Keen on developing a broader expertise in insurance by using your commercial skills
  • Capable to work both in team as independent
  • Ensure clear and transparent work overview to colleagues and team
  • Excellent admin and processing skills
  • Good computer skills with advanced knowledge of MS Office

Job Summary

To analyze and underwrite new and renewal business, under general direction, utilizing The Zurich Way of Underwriting Framework within delegated authority levels on assignments of higher technical complexity ensuring a high level service to customers.

Job Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 3 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing area. For SURETY POSITIONS ONLY: OR Finance, Accounting or Banking experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support area

• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 1 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing area

• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 4 or more years of experience in the Claims or

Underwriting Support area
• Knowledge of line/s of business and the legal and regulatory guidelines
• Knowledge of time restraints for quotes on new and renewal business
• Experience with Microsoft Office

• Bachelors Degree
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
