Claims Adjuster

We are looking for a Claims Adjuster to join our team and play a key role in our Middle East Claims Team. This individual will control their own portfolio to help resolve claims for our customers using the highest degree of technical knowledge whilst maintaining a strong customer-centric claims service and supporting our Zurich Middle East strategy.

Job Accountabilities

As Claims Adjuster, your main responsibilities will involve:

  • Following Claims best practices, standards and procedures.
  • Working and contributing as part of a busy and established team 
  • Using judgement to determine coverage by gathering and analysing relevant facts. 
  • Ensuring a timely resolution of claims by developing case strategy, developing case evaluation and escalating issues as appropriate. 
  • Establishing timely reserves and performing ongoing reviews throughout the claims-cycle by estimating and validating the value of claims. 
  • Negotiating claims settlements by establishing an appropriate negotiation strategy and utilising available tools and resources within authority limits.
  • Ensuring case files are maintained in a timely and comprehensive manner.
  • Establish strong working relationships with our customers and partners.

Job Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent)
  • Certificate/ Diploma CII, ACII, FCII/ CILA is desirable
  • At least 7 years of experience working within a Claims operation environment within Commercial Insurance industry or loss adjusting practice
  • Sound understanding of General Insurance commercial business is essential combined with Reinsurance fundamentals
  • Responsible for personally handling claims from notification to conclusion is essential.
  • Managing a large portfolio of claims and balancing service deliverables
  • Preparing reports and analysing data to present to management
  • Strong negotiation skills combined with an investigative ability
  • Fluency in English language skills, both written and spoken
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office
