Team/Department Background/overview:  

 
Zurich IT Department is currently divided between two locations in Dublin (Ballsbridge & Blackrock).
The role advertised will be predominately based in Ballsbridge with the primary focus on supporting the Zurich General Insurance business. 

The IT team & test team works closely with local Business Change, local subject matter experts and key 3rd parties to deliver and manage IT solutions that support the business strategy of Zurich Ireland.

Zurich Insurance Plc is looking for a Salesforce Developer to play a key role in the IT Department and be involved in the wider project team on the end to end delivery of complex software solutions. Yu will lead the end to end delivery of the smaller business critical software enhancements and be proactive in the development of the Salesforce & application integration capabilities with Zurich Ireland
 

Your Role:

As a Salesforce Developer your main responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following:

  • Lead on the design & development of Zurich Ireland Salesforce platforms
  • Working on cross functional project team implement complex business solution
  • Lead on decision making in the design of the Salesforce platforms and the integration to existing Services Orientated Architecture
  • Upskilling of & supporting existing team members
  • Tracking, control and resolution of software issues and queries.

 

Additional Job Functions:

  • Builds good working relationships with Enterprise Architect, Team members within IT Department, Test Team and Project Management.
  • Ability to help keep team motivated in high pressure situations.
  • Experience in all areas of the software development life cycle.
  • Responds maturely to ambiguity and complexity.

 

Your Skills and Experience

As a Salesforce Developer your skills and qualifications will include: 

  • Having one or more of the following technical competencies:
    • Project delivery in a multi-tier enterprise grade applications
    • Extensive Salesforce configuration and APEX development experience
    • Preferably Salesforce Platform Developer I and II certifie
    • Object-Oriented Software development experience and associated development languages, 
    • API Integration (SOAP, Rest) experienc
    • Mulesoft Knowledge and advantage
    • Experience with data structures and querying languages SOQL/SOSL
    • Experience on Continuous Integration tools like Team city or Bamboo or equivalen
    • General Insurance industry knowledge, would be an advantage
    • Experience with working with offshore colleagues, would be an advantage

Additional Information

Primary work location is Dublin. Position is Ballsbridge-based but occasional travel may be required to other Zurich locations.
