Job Summary

 

ZLAP is looking for a Third-Party Technology Assurance Lead to provide IT information assurance to enhance technology risk management and oversight over those ZLAP third parties that help deliver the business services for Zurich Life customers. 


The successful candidate will work across all areas of the business and work with multiple stakeholders, in particular working closely with IT, GIS, Risk, and the Zurich Group and will be key to supporting Contract Owners in the third-party oversight responsibilities. 


You will have the opportunity to enhance IT risk and controls assurance in line with both Group-driven ICIF and TPGF requirements, and local regulatory demands. 

 

Your Role

 

As Third-Party Technology Assurance Lead your main responsibilities will include, but not necessarily limited to, the following:


•    Gather, assess, and validate information to provide IT controls assurance (operational effectiveness) of third-party service providers aligned to Group-led ZRP and/or local regulatory requirements.
•    Identify actions to remediate IT operational gaps with third-party service providers and work with stakeholders to close these gaps.
•    Support Contract Owners to ensure and monitor the execution of IT control activities for third parties.
•    Provide input to governance fora and Risk Committees on technology focused information assurance matters as required (i.e., Operational Risk Committee reporting).
•    Act as the conduit between Group and ZLAP to support requests and/or communication and implementation of new and/or ongoing requirements/upcoming changes.
•    Support related Business Continuity/Resilience processes and the wider non-IT third-party assurance activities as required.
•    Support internal second and third line, and external audit requests and queries.

 

The role requires you to build excellent working relationships with Contract Owners, the Third-Party Assurance Lead, the Data Governance Specialist, the Business Information Security Officer, and the Chief Information Officer.

Your Skills and Experience

 

Having one or more of the following technical competencies:


•    Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification would be strongly desirable. (Support given for further certification / upskilling).
•    Experience in IT Service and infrastructure management is desirable.
•    Knowledge of secure Application Development process and controls is desirable.
•    Ability to understand IT Risk Policies, Controls, and the development of action plans for full implementation.
•    Experience of the Business Continuity Frameworks would be desirable.
•    Experienced in developing tools, reports, metrics for support evidence of controls.
•    Experience of working in a cross functional, distributed working environment.
•    Knowledgeable in financial industries IT governance frameworks.

Additional Information

 

Primary work location is Blackrock. Position is Dublin-based but occasional travel may be required to other Zurich locations.
