Zurich Canada is currently looking for a Head of Business Transformation who will lead a dynamic Business Transformation team, and work hand-in-hand with the business units and functions, as well as Strategy, Customer Office, and IT to ensure we have a clear vision of how we continue to evolve our Operating Model in support of our strategy.

 

Reporting to the COO, the candidate will help shape the operational plan, portfolio of transformation, and continuous improvement initiatives and be closely involved in exploring innovation opportunities with internal and external partners. The candidate will also partner with our colleagues globally and in other Zurich Business units to ensure local implementation of global initiatives, as well as to exchange ideas, best practices, and solutions.

What you will do:

 

Lead the continuous evolution of the Zurich Canada Operating model.

 

Lead the development of the mid-term business and IT project portfolio to deliver the transformation roadmap in support of the local business strategy and considering global and regional initiatives.

 

Ensure effective project governance, especially clearly defined and measurable success and benefits; oversee and continuously adjust the project portfolio.

 

Lead business architecture.

 

Lead and develop the business transformation team, including transformation leads, business transformation and program management, process management, and change management.

 

Contribute to the development of agile and design thinking skills and foster innovation culture.

 

Act as business lead or sponsor for enterprise-level transformation efforts.

 

 

Job Qualifications

Required:

 

Bachelor’s Degree and 10 or more years of experience in the Project Management area

 

Functional/Technical Skills

 

Program Management - Proficiency Level Expert

 

Strategic and Business Communications - Proficiency Level Advanced

 

Networking - Proficiency Level Advanced

 

Strong problem solving

 

Strong stakeholder management

 

 

Preferred:

 

 

Business experience in a core insurance function

 

Experience in strategy or consulting

 

Experience with agile, design thinking, lean

 

Delivery experience
