Insurance Talent Programme - Internship Placement (6 months)


The Programme

This Insurance Talent Programme aims to provide talented and highly motivated undergraduates an opportunity to develop into Insurance professionals and potential future leaders within our Zurich organization. Students can choose one stream to focus on during their 6 months full-time internship period. Students with outstanding performance may be admitted to our Graduate placement.


The Exposure


  • Expose to the claims operations and workflow
  • Modernize the claims handling and process through technology and data
  • Deliver change initiatives and build new capabilities, like Robotics, Chatbot


Commercial Insurance

  • Gain experience in various functions of the Commercial Insurance, including Operations, Underwriting and Customer Management
  • Assist in analyze customers’ information and assess their insurance needs
  • Support the delivery of customized solutions to corporate customers


Data Science

  • Support development of Data Science and Actuarial applications
  • Analyze business data to identify opportunities for automation or other Data Science applications
  • Help to derive useful business insight from our data and communicating the results of analysis



  • Execute the initiatives of Retail Service Transformation, like automation & simplification projects, VHIS migration, other compliance or product governance related projects
  • Analyze market trends and competitors’ product strategies to ensure offerings are competitive and relevant
  • Assist to ideate new product or service concepts and build business cases that align with the General Insurance strategy and distribution partner’s unique business requirements



  • Expose to the insurance technology and systems
  • Understand the System Development Life Cycle process and business application architecture
  • Assist on system development, IT & data security, etc, activities



  • Expose to the insurance operations and workflow
  • Deliver change initiatives and build new capabilities for continuous improvements
  • Assist on Operational Excellence or Customer Service Excellence activities, like Customer Relationship Management process, Insurance Policy System redesign


The Candidate

  • Associate Degree or University Students preferably in final or penultimate year of study
  • Strong interest in developing career in insurance industry
  • Proficient in English and Cantonese
  • Positive thinking and strong customer centricity mindset
  • Excellent interpersonal & communications skills with good cultural awareness
