Assistant Compliance Manager, APAC

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Compliance Manager to join our Regional Compliance team in APAC, based in Hong Kong.  It's a key role to support insightful Compliance reporting, drive Compliance analytics, enable innovation, and ensure global compliance activities are delivered to a high standard across the region.  This is a unique opportunity to work with teams across the region with a chance to experience different culture s while building a broad knowledge base on Compliance frameworks and methodologies, in a supportive environment where your voice matters.

 

Job Accountabilities

  • Responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of insightful compliance reports to Executive Management, Group Compliance and oversight committees
  • Compile and organize information from a variety of sources to be utilized for identifying trends, responding to requests, and management reporting with focus on information being presented in a clear and concise manner tailored for use at varying levels of the organization
  • Support the rollout and quality assurance of compliance activities across the region including the Compliance Risk Assessment (CRA), policy implementation, assurance and compliance annual planning; prepare training materials, monitor progress and conduct quality assurance to ensure high-quality output
  • Manage data quality against Data Quality Key Performance Indicators, including ongoing monitoring of the Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) tool
  • Drive the implementation of innovation and automation initiatives within the region, including delivery of initiatives to improve our regional team processes
  • Prepare material and information to support the Regional Compliance Officer in the oversight of the regional and delivery of compliance strategy
  • Provide support to regional compliance activities, such as:
    • organizing the annual Local Compliance Officer Conference
    • coordinating regional projects, training and awareness activities
    • participating in Global Compliance working groups

 

Job Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree holder with minimum 3 years of experience in the area of compliance, risk management, legal, finance, etc., preferably in MNC / regional office
  • Sound understanding of Compliance framework, topics and best practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite; knowledge / experience in using Power BI and Power Automate is an advantage
  • Strong ability to analyze large volumes of data and identify trends & anomalies
  • Able to independently manage multiple projects and work under pressure to meet tight timeline
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English in reporting writing and verbal communication
