Claims Officer / Claims Assistant (Commercial Lines)

Job Summary

• Provide support to claims handlers under close supervision
• Responsible for low complexity, low exposure commercial line claims, preliminary on Marine and Liability
• Responsible for claim data input and respond to general written or verbal inquiries
• Assist team to consolidate and analyze claims data and to develop dash boards for Commercial accounts
• Assist in process automation & simplification

Job Accountabilities

• Provide administrative and claims support to Claims Team
• Assist in processing and entry of claims
• Enter data information on standard claims
• Respond to internal customer and third party queries regarding the claim; provide status updates and transfer the call to the appropriate teams when necessary
• Any additional tasks as assigned and may involve in basic claims handling
• Communicate with customer and answer their day-to-day enquiry on claims

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor degree holder is preferred; Diploma holder and/or with equivalent working experience will also be considered
• Previous claims (internship) experience is a big advantage
• Technical knowledge of products and services
• Technical claims handling knowledge of Marine and/or Liability is a plus
• Understand local legislation
• Good understanding on data analytic tools, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Able to conduct research on automation / simplification development
• Recognize relevance of customer proposition
• Embrace Customer Focus, Innovation & Simplification under the Zurich environment
• Be able to articulate how to prioritise and work to deadline
• Desire to learn and be flexible to business change
• Good command of written & spoken English & Chinese
