Claims Officer / Claims Assistant (Employees' Compensation)


Job Summary:

  • Provide support to claims handler under close supervision
  • Required to enter claim data and respond to general written or verbal inquiries in a manner
  • Support claims handler on preparing daily enquiries letters or standard forms
  • Assist team to consolidate and analyze claims data and to develop dash boards for Commercial EC accounts
  • Assist in Express claims (including front-end cases) process automation & simplification

Job Accountabilities:

  • Provide administrative and claims support to Claims Team (Employees’ Compensation / EC)
  • Assist in processing and entry of claims
  • Enter data information on standard claims
  • Respond to internal customer and third-party queries regarding the claim and provides status updates, directing the call to the appropriate area when necessary
  • Any additional tasks as assigned and may involve in basic claims handling (Tier 1 / 2)
  • Communicate with customer and answer their day-to-day enquiry on claims

Job Qualifications:

  • Preferably Bachelor degree / Diploma holder with relevant working experience
  • Working towards the recognized industry standard
  • Technical knowledge of products and services
  • Understand local legislation (including Employee Compensation Ordinance)
  • Understand on data analytic tools, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Able to conduct research on automation / simplification development
  • Previous claims experience is preferred
  • Recognize relevance of customer proposition
  • Embrace Customer Focus, Innovation & Simplification under the Zurich environment
  • Be able to articulate how to prioritize and work to deadline
  • Desire to learn and be flexible to business change
  • Fresh graduates or candidates with no previous claims experience will also be conisdered
