(Senior) Actuarial Associate, Life Valuation


Job Responsibilities

  • Carry out financial report on Local Statutory and Solvency II standard
  • Carry out business planning
  • Carry out experience studies and assumption setting
  • Maintain and enhance financial valuation system including actuarial modeling
  • Perform any other duties, tasks oriented or actuarial related as may be delegated by superiors in the Life Actuarial Department
  • Develop the capabilities and competency required for the future development of the Life Actuarial Department


Job Requirements

  • Undergraduate in Actuarial Science or related disciplines with minimum 2 years’ of experience
  • Good progress to an Associate of a recognized actuarial institute
  • Knowledge in methodology and reporting principles, e.g. Local Statutory Reporting, Solvency, MCEV, HK RBC, IFRS17, IFRS 4, ORSA
  • Working knowledge of Prophet software
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Access and VBA
  • Good analytical skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal competencies
  • Attention to details
  • Willing to work under pressure and deadline
  • Candidate with more experience will be considered as Senior Actuarial Associate
