Senior Business & Data Analyst (Life Insurance)

Job Accountabilities

  • Build and maintain business datamarts to visualize KPIs, metrics in reports / dashboards to empower data analytic capability across functional teams for Life Business
  • Understand the Company’s business processes and applications, including their effect on data and reporting, and apply the knowledge gained in designing datasets, reports and dashboards
  • Analyze business data to identify actionable insights for management and stakeholders
  • Drive analysis on customer segmentation / profiling and campaign performance
  • Analyze and verify requirements for dashboards and reports by working with requesters, SMEs and partners
  • Supporting the continuous enhancement, maintenance of datawarehouse, ETL processes, reports and dashboards
  • Work with IT and vendors for project implementation
  • Prepare and execute test plan, test cases, as well as user training
  • Assemble system performance statistics, analyze them and make changes for continuous performance and capacity improvements
  • Understand and investigate data issues and then derive solution
  • Create and maintain data dictionary, user guide and other related documentation

 

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree with minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Data / BI domains; candidate with less experience may be considered as Business & Data Analyst
  • Experience in data integration / ETL, data-modeling for datawarehouse
  • Highly proficient in SQL
  • Experience in PowerBI or similar visualization / dashboarding tools
  • Experience in Microsoft SSIS or similar ETL tools
  • Experience in Insurance or Financial industries is an advantage
  • Experience in Azure, Hotjar is an advantage
  • Experience in Python, predictive / machine learning is an advantage
  • Experience in Google Analytics, GTM, Looker Studio, BigQuery is an advantage
  • Good analytical, problem solving and communication skills  
  • Able to articulate business processes / requirements / ideas to all levels
  • Excellent skill in writing and communicating in English / Cantonese / Mandarin
