Zurich North America is seeking a Claims Adjuster III to join our Group in North America.

 

How you will create an impact

The role of an Express adjuster is to investigate, evaluate and resolve claims for travel products and/or benefits embedded within partnership card benefit programs.  Claim processing will related to benefits including but not limite to: Trip Cancelations, Travel Post Departure events (trip interruption, trip delay, medical, travel inconvenience) and baggage/personal effects losses.  As an Express Claims Adjuster you will conduct accurate and thorough documentation review, investigation when necessary, and document your resolution action plans based upon the applicable law, coverage and supporting evidence.  This position will also provides on-going communication to the appropriate stake holders through the life of the claim.  Express adjusters should expect to spend 50% - 75% of time conversing verbally with stakeholders. This role involves high claim volume, low value claim exposure, non-litigated claims with no complex liability issues.

 

State Licensing is a requirement of this position.  Express Claims Adjusters are expected to obtain required state specific licenses within the designated time frame of when the business initiates the process and are required to maintain all licenses in good standing at all times.

 

What Express Claims Adjuster is responisable for:

  • Maintains high standards of customer service. This includes prompt contact and follow up to complete timely and accurate investigation, damage evaluation and claim resolution in -accordance with regulatory and company standards.

  • Conducts a thorough investigation of coverage, liability, and damages. Must document facts and maintain evidence to support claim resolution.

  • Comply with all statutory and regulatory requirements in all applicable jurisdictions.

  • Establish appropriate loss and expense reserves with documented rationale.  On-going review of reserves required through life of file.

  • Demonstrate technical efficiency through timely, consistent execution of best claim handling practices and claim handling guidelines.

  • Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing with internal and external customers. 

  • Maintain and manage diary system to effectively manage pending claims inventory.

  • Proficiency in Desk Management, time management and dealing with difficult customers.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 2+ years customer service

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Claims experience in Auto, Warranty and Fast Track claims groups is preferred but not required.

  • State specific adjuster licensing is required and must be obtained within two (2) months of the business initiating the licensing process.

  • Strong time management with the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
