Zurich Covermore (Travel Guard) is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Group in North America.

This position is responsible for assisting with regular financial reporting deliverables as well as business support. The individual will also support initiatives to improve financial processes and procedures, as well as participate in special projects as needed. 

 

Responsibilities include
- Support the Finance team on all financial analysis and reporting, including month close production activities / KPI reporting, quarter close activities and forecasting.
- Support the Finance team in the development of analytics and management information, which enables the business to track strategic initiatives.
- Work with the Finance team to prepare quarterly financial reporting deliverables, to outline the performance of the business compared to relevant periods and projections.
- Support the annual and quarterly Strategic Planning process by helping to gather input from the business teams and compiling the projected results to be shared with the Business.
- Support in any finance transformation or process improvement initiatives.
- Participate in other special projects and/or coordination efforts

 

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least 3-5 years of accounting or finance experience.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
- High level of financial statement analysis experience
- Experience in finance services industry, specifically insurance
- Experience in forecasting and modelling and knowledge of business performance metrics
- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint, SAP a plus.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks to meet competing deadlines.
- Ability to work without close supervision and to take decisions autonomously, subject to verification.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience within complex, global organizations and virtual teams.
- Collaborative, customer focused, flexible, persistent, and results-oriented mindset.
- International work experience a plus.
