Job Summary

To support a limited number of specific Finance, Accounting and Reporting Functions related to close Operations and general Ledger Maintenance relevant for Group and local Statutory reporting. Responsible for the day-to-day reconciliation of cash uploaded into the Company's billing system.

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree from accounting major or relevant field
  • Min. 4 - 5 years' experience in accounting role
  • Having previous experience or background working in Banking or Financial Services industry
  • Microsoft Office experience

Job Accountabilities - Key Accountabilities


• Researches and investigates un-reconciled cash
• Reconciles bank totals with the company's billing system
• Compiles bank, ledger and billing system balances on a monthly basis to help identify fluctuations and discrepancies and provides management reports
• Identifies, documents, researches and corrects errors on a timely basis
• Performs inter-company transfers
• Prepares statistical postings
• Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with local instructions
• Prepare account reconciliations.
• Provides frequent and appropriately detailed accounting and financial information
• Assist and support department´s initiatives including but not limited to support to the unit supervisor and training of new employees

Business Accountabilities


• Review and analyse performance on Accounting projects including larger transactions using standard reporting tools and highlight discrepancies against plan.

• Identify and comply with the main principles relevant to legal and regulatory controls, including International Financial Reporting Standards, amongst others, that govern standard work practices.

• Collect account data from well-established sources and prepare high-quality and timely reports, including verification, commentary and analysis of trends to facilitate the decision making process.

• Monitor Accounting processes in order to identify opportunities for improvement.

• Review and analyse customer service levels using standard reporting tools and highlight discrepancies against plan and anticipate, recognize and respond to the needs of the customer.

• Provide detailed Accounting procedural advice and more specialized administrative support to internal clients to ensure internal standards are adhered to.

• Perform account management tasks and processes, including data storage, maintaining accurate records, transactions and reconciliations, for different types of accounts.
