Accounting Project Specialist (1 year temporary)

Job Summary

To perform general accounting operations relevant for Group and Statutory reporting, ensuring that accounting processes and procedures are followed and completed to support and reinforce key business objectives.

Job Qualifications

Required:
• Bachelors Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Real Estate area

OR
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in the Real Estate area

AND
• 5 or more years experience working as an investment controller

Preferred:
• Commercial business school diploma in accounting and finance
• Strong communication skills
• Advanced knowledge of Real Estate accounting and reporting, including IFRS
• Fluent in English, German and other major European languages
• Strong Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills

Job Accountabilities - Key Accountabilities

Work with the team to ensure that accounting processes and procedures are followed and completed to support and reinforce key business objectives. Perform various types of general and/or sub-ledger transactions relevant for Group reporting as well and local Globally Accepted Accounting Principles reporting. Prepare or review ledger reports and explain the results. Perform or review close related ledger tasks, e.g. accruals, provisions, journals postings. Prepare or review accounts reconciliations on timely basis in accordance with Group internal control guidelines. Maintain one or more ledger categories/chart of accounts as a regular part of daily work. Perform and review SOX controls in line with Group internal guidelines. Participate in local projects or initiatives, evaluate potential impact on local reporting units, performs local implementation of changes.
