UX Design Manager


Key Role & Responsibility

  • Create and clarify product strategy, conceptualize UX ecosystems in ways that mitigate complexity, and inspire teams to push the boundaries of what’s possible.
  • Provide leadership, direction, lead creative and holistic thinking across diverse product releases, platforms, and devices
  • Understand the users and the business strategy, bringing both needs together 
  • Deliver a UX vision, along with a plan for evolutionary, iterative updates, that actualize the larger vision over time
  • Set the values for a good experience, set the values for the UX and enable the team to grow over time
  • Build strong relationships and operating rhythms with leaders inside and outside the product team to efficiently implement user experiences that are cohesive, inclusive, and well-informed
  • Be responsible for and effectively advocate for users imparting day-to-day design leadership that fosters a shared understanding of the user-centric intersection between design, content, business, and digital development
  • Get constant feedback from digital interfaces users, with qualitative (card-sorting, controlled experiments, focus-groups, interviews, usability tests, etc.) and quantitative (A/B tests and surveys) research.
  • Evaluate digital interfaces using usability guidelines and best practices for interface design.
  • Organize a features backlog with digital product managers and prioritize which feature should be developed 
  • Prioritize, with the stakeholders, the importance for the business of digital interfaces features.
  • Link with relevant customer teams, including visual design and web content and copywriter in BMC, customer knowledge and experience, to ensure alignment of experience through web channels


  • Excellent, customer-led experiences through digital channels
  • Prototypes of digital interfaces to make tangible the proposals design solutions
  • Personas and users scenarios to customize digital interfaces according each user profile

Notes/Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in design role, with 5 focused on UI/ UX.
  • 3 years of experience managing or leading design teams.
  • Portfolio of UX-focused work samples for web and mobile applications


  • Preferred:
  • Experience balancing product, development, and user-centered goals to help shape overall product strategy.
  • Experience working on a product from inception to shipment.
  • Effectiveness in working across organizational boundaries to define, manage, and prioritize work.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate complex interaction concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization
  • Experience in user centred design a plus
  • Organized self-starter...the team will be small to begin with, growing over time
