Job purpose:

The job purpose of a Reinsurance Accounting Senior Specialist is to analyze reinsurance contracts, manage relationships with reinsurers, oversee reinsurance claims, provide expertise to internal stakeholders, contribute to the generation of insightful reinsurance reports and analysis to support informed decision-making within the organization. This is a key role in ensuring compliance with company policies, efficient claim settlement, and effective communication and collaboration with reinsurers. It gives opportunity to participate in local, regional and global projects and that is why we are looking for a proactive, flexible person with a “can do” approach.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Analyze and evaluate reinsurance contracts for compliance and financial impact.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with reinsurers for effective collaboration.
  • Monitor and manage reinsurance claims for timely and accurate settlement.
  • Provide reinsurance expertise and support to internal stakeholders.
  • Perform reinsurance reporting and analysis for informed decision-making.
  • Calculate, book, bill, collect and apply cash for facultative reinsurance programs, involving various tools, internal reinsurance/claims systems and SAP.
  • Actively identify areas for process improvement, inefficiencies, drive the continuous process improvement and standardization,
  • Join relevant training sessions to maintain good knowledge of the system, processes and changes.
  • Keep SOP/training guides up to date for own role & processes in collaboration with Group Reinsurance Finance & Recovery Team.

  • This position will be dedicated for the US (American) customer, which will require occasionally adapting to work according to the US hours as per the team’s shift schedule.

In March 2016 we established a Shared Service Centre in Kraków, in Poland to support our global strategy. It is from this location that we have created a global shared service platform, focusing on advanced business functions such as financial accounting and reporting, planning and performance management, ICFR testing, financial systems management as well as HR integrated talent management operations.

 

This role is related to the key area of Zurich’s activity in Kraków.
