SAP Specialist role in the Finance Application Support team, as part of Finance Solutions Management, Group Finance’s center of excellence for business application support with locations in Krakow, Zurich and Bratislava.

 

Job description:

  • Provide advisory and support to stakeholders in the Finance function e.g. Financial Accounting and Reporting (FAR) teams from Zurich’s business units worldwide
  • Support our strategy to standardize Finance systems and data in parallel to process changes to achieve major advancements in quality/accuracy, cycle times, overall automation and efficiency
  • Act as a process expert and owner of FAR related SAP design components on a day-to-day basis
  • Ensure that all finance functional processes and subsequent change items are positioned correctly for ongoing sustainability including, but not limited to, the management of all associated document artefacts, training and process flow diagrams
  • Consult and support other Business Process Analysts along with Business Process Owners and relevant governance groups in the identification of process change and improvement needs and to set their priority
  • Provide third level support to power users i.e. for business and process questions
  • Work with the FAR Business Process Owner’s to review new and improve existing business processes
  • Challenge requirements for change requests, review solutions for changes from business perspective, align solutions across BU’s and make proposals to the change board
  • Ensure that process changes are performed and processed in a seamless manner
  • Monitor process support queues and ensures timely delivery of high priority changes
  • Support documentation of all functional process blueprints along with the maintenance of their context in relation to the overall enterprise business architecture

 

Candidate’s profile:

  • 3+ years’ experience in Finance Accounting and Reporting area (FAR)
  • Understanding of finance business processes
  • Knowledge and experience with IFRS reporting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or other related field
  • Working experience with SAP FI or SAP BCS
  • Good communication skills, good command in English (C1), German language skills are an additional asset
  • Experience in utilizing Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies is an asset
  • Insurance Industry experience is an additional asset

  • Service and results oriented, able to work well under pressure, flexible in working style and hours
  • Influencing and negotiation skills
  • Good communication and presentation skills, multilingual (English is a must)
  • Ability to understand & challenge business requirements from different departments and translate to group, common or local solutions.
  • Credible knowledge of SAP ECC New GL solution

In March 2016 we established a Shared Service Centre in Kraków, in Poland to support our global strategy. It is from this location that we have created a global shared service platform, focusing on advanced business functions such as financial accounting and reporting, planning and performance management, ICFR testing, financial systems management as well as HR integrated talent management operations.

 

This role is related to the key area of Zurich’s activity in Kraków.
