Location: Krakow

 

 

Role Focus: Integrating pre-trained AI models into applications and products.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and deploying AI applications using large language models (LLMs).
  • Implementing data structuring and validation using libraries like Pydantic.
  • Creating APIs using frameworks such as FastAPI to connect the front end with backend AI logic.
  • Working with task queues like Celery to distribute work across multiple threads or machines.
  • Ensuring the reliability and robustness of AI applications.
  • Utilising monitoring and debugging platforms such as Langfuse or LangSmith to track LLM calls and metadata.
  • Working with vector databases for retrieval augmented generation.
  • Managing prompts using templating engines like Jinja.
  • Implementing proper error handling and monitoring.
  • Delivering end-to-end solutions, including putting applications into production.

Required Skills:

  • Strong software engineering skills, including building web applications and working with web hooks and triggers.
  • Experience with Python and relevant AI libraries (Pydantic, Instructor, PDF parsers etc.)
  • Understanding of containerisation (Docker) and cloud deployment (Azure, AWS).
  • Familiarity with vector databases (MongoAtlas).
  • Knowledge of event-driven architectures.
  • Experience with monitoring tools for LLM applications (Langfuse, LangSmith).
  • Experience with extracting structured output and data validation.

In March 2016 we established a Shared Service Centre in Kraków, in Poland to support our global strategy. It is from this location that we have created a global shared service platform, focusing on advanced business functions such as financial accounting and reporting, planning and performance management, ICFR testing, financial systems management as well as HR integrated talent management operations.

 

 

This role is related to the key area of Zurich’s activity in Kraków.
