Head of Business Continuity Management


Job Summary

Drives implementation and execution of IT governance principles and framework and provide IT Audit support &

Job Accountabilities - Key Accountabilities

• Develop and operate Gl o b al IT Governance framework providing lean and transparent delivery of Audit
Engagement & Support, Compliance Management and SOX support.

• Engage with internal/external Audit, Risk and Compliance. Ensures Sox Coordination and ensures communication
within IT Services and to business partners.

• Manage IT project governance processes across Global IT transformation projects, continuously improving processes
and aligning with Group governance to maximize effectiveness

• Develop systems and processes to ensure accurate Management Information is available

• Promote best practice approaches within Performance & Governance scope.

• Implement Governance projects within agreed budgets and timescales.

• Ensure service delivery reliability & process consistency for all aspects of Governance activities.

• Liaise with Group Risk to ensure robust Risk Management procedures in place and audits are managed and actions

• Manage supplier management processes and practices for all IT supplier relationships globally, ensuring compliance,
informed by appropriate metrics.

• Ensure compliance for software contracts with contractual license terms

Job Functions

• Contribute to the IT governance strategy and operating plan.

• Provide support to colleagues to ensure their effective implementation.

• Improve overall public perception and image of the Organization ensuring clear benchmark against best of industry

• Ensure compliance with the Organization’s Project Approval Process reviewing and pre-approving projects for Global Head
as required.

• Ensure compliance with Statutory and Insurance Industry Compliant processes and procedures.

• Ensure compliance with and effective deployment of all aspects of the Organization’s people management/HR processes.

• Develop improved collaboration and operating models with other Group Operations functions.

• Drive LEAN / continuous improvement strategies in line with the Group Operations & Technology strategy.

• Support the development of policy /governance/ regulatory standards and processes within function.

• Contribute to functional strategy and objectives; review and interpret functional policies, develop and recommend
changes including to operating model and resources.

Business Accountabilities

• Lead the development of governance processes and standards aligned to global policy and brand values to deliver
expected levels of customer service to the business.

• Negotiate and agree global/cross segment strategic partnerships with suppliers and business partners to deliver
enhanced cost effective performance and governance services across the business.

• Achieve established performance and governance metrics and service level agreement standards across multiple
locations and various business units.

• Contribute to the development of long term IT strategies as part of the extended IT leadership team and provide
specialist performance and governance guidance and support.

• Support the development of performance and governance policy /governance/ regulatory standards. Formulate, interpret,
and communicate objectives in support of the organization’s overall short and long-term objectives and maximize all
resources necessary to deliver exceptional service to internal customers.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelors degree and 7 or more years of experience in the information technology area
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 9 or more years of experience in the information technology area
• IT Governance experience
• Project management experience
• Experience with software development lifecycle process
• Experience in Information Security and User Experience Design
• MS Office experience

• Strong analytical skills
• Customer service experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; including syndicating IT topics with technical and non-technical employees.
• Strong consulting and influencing skills
• Experience with workplace / end user services
• Experience with Private / Public Cloud services
• Experience with Remedy and Service Now technology
