Lead Data Analyst, APAC

The opportunity: 

Zurich Edge is looking for a motivated and hands-on Lead Data Analyst to lead the data team in supporting Asia Pacific projects.

You are to build meaningful relationships with our partners and project team and has a good understanding of their customers business problems and data requirements. You are to lead data engineers to design, develop and maintain tools and solutions to address those needs.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Responsible for the design and development of tools and solutions to meet customer needs and address business problems.
• Contribute to the data solutions roadmap and ensure that all solutions delivered align with the data solutions strategy.
• Lead a team of data engineers who analyze data and present it in a meaningful way for customers using data visualizations, data mapping and storytelling.
• Responsible for the quality of master data in key systems and ensuring the data models and mapping are documented appropriately.
• To build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships and working with their customers will develop data business strategies and generate insights to support in solving their problems.
• Act as a Zurich role model, investing in team development and promoting team diversity and wellbeing. You build high performing teams, delegating and assessing work and encouraging collaboration both within the team and with stakeholders.

Your skills and experience:

• Experience in managing a team.
• Hands on technical proficiency, including professional experience in data modeling, database design, and data integration.
• Knowledge of database and programming languages such as SQL, NoSQL, Python or Java
• Experience on lake house architecture using Databricks.
• Experience working in an Agile environment; and possessing the knowledge of CI/CD or DevOps practices.
• A can-do attitude and hands-on mentality with a focus on delivering end-products that meet user needs and specific business use cases.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
