Scrum Master (12 months contract)
Summary:
Responsible for leading Agile practices within the team, ensuring efficient delivery by facilitating Scrum ceremonies, removing obstacles, and fostering collaboration. This role supports the Product Owner in managing the product backlog and coaching the team in Agile principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement agile methodology, principles, and practices to plan, manage, and deliver solutions.
- Determining, monitoring and managing tasks, issues, risks, and action items.
- Scheduling and facilitating Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective, other meetings, and decision-making processes.

Monitoring progress and performance and helping teams to make improvements.

Planning of business workshops, organizing demos and product/system testing.

Manage dependencies between vendor deliverables and scrum team delivery plans.

Coach the Scrum team in self-organization, cross-functional skillset, domain knowledge and communicate effectively, both internally and externally working within the Scrum team

Ensure the proper use of collaborative processes and removing impediments for the scrum team.

Tracking project processes, deliverables, and financials.

Preparing and presenting regular status reports to stakeholders.

Work with Scrum Team, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to influence and drive decision making and support organizational project or product teams.

Work with vendors, partners and internal delivery teams in ensuring pragmatic delivery
Required Skills and Experience:
- Prior experience as a scrum master delivering IT projects.
- Experience as a project manager.
- Experience in financial services / insurance highly regarded.
- Prior experience in web technologies and APIs highly regarded.
- Courses and certifications in Project Management and/or scrum methodology.
- Strong knowledge of using JIRA for managing projects
- Knowledge of DevOps tools and methodologies
- JIRA configuration skills
- Estimation methodologies using Scrum
- Microsoft Excel & powerpoint skills
- Excellent communication & documentation skills.
- Ability to lead by influence
