Senior Workplace & Mobility Engineer

Our opportunity

  

Provides IT support to various stakeholders across the organization. Ensures alignment with Zurich’s technology standards, providing clear technology and process direction to stakeholders, reviewing internal and external supplier proposals and quotations, and performing the technical validation of supplier solutions to ensure that they are in line with company technology standards. Responsible for the implementation of policies, standards and governance, the deployment and integration of operational IT services and solutions, and service management standards, and is aligned with operational process and policy compliance

 

Your role

 

Key Accountabilities 

 

  • Configures and maintains company´s IT infrastructure and its components.
  • Understands IT technologies and landscape (hardware, telecommunications platforms, networks, mainframe, midrange, security, etc.).
  • Ensures information security based on defined security policies and guidelines relevant to the role.
  • Collaborates with peers and suppliers about operational activities
  •  Acts as point of contact with other IT functions and third-party suppliers relevant to the respective role.
  • Operates on a daily basis to ensure the delivery of a consistent level of service provision to different customers around the world.

  • Meets objectives.
  • Adheres to Information Technology Infrastructure budget.
  • Delivers service improvement programs successfully.
  • Receives positive and improves customer/employee feedback from surveys, reporting and escalation.

  

Your Skills and Experience

  

Associate Diploma/Technical Degree in Information Technology with 5 or more years of experience

 

Additional Information

  

Required

  • Associate Degree and 3 or more years of experience in the Systems Administration area OR
  • Technical Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in the Systems Administration area OR
  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 3 or more years of experience in the Systems Administration area

 

AND

  • Knowledge of insurance agency operations, insurance agency accounting, commissions, licensing and contracting

 

Preferred

  • CIC
  • AIS
  • CPCU
  • Knowledge of agency operations, agency accounting, commissions, licensing and contracting
  • Advanced understanding of insurance concepts
  • Broad knowledge of agency management system such as APPLIED or AMS
  • Ability to multi-task
  • IT related certifications
  • System or database coding and maintenance experience
