Tech Business Analyst, APAC

The Opportunity:
We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity – join us as a Tech Business Analyst to support in building our web application, serving customers in the Asia Pacific Region.
Be a part of a new team that is building a new end-to-end Insurance Platform to enable new distribution models. Insurance offerings on this platform will be specifically designed for high levels of automation and straight through processing across the full insurance value chain.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with business stakeholders on product & process business requirements. 
  • Analyze requirements including identifying gaps in business input.
  • Identify opportunities to automate and/or simplify business processes.
  • Make pragmatic and delivery focused decisions. Communicate and obtain buy-in from Business stakeholders.
  • Document product data required to create new products – ie data required for quotations, policies, claims etc.
  • Document business rules to enable business processes and rules-based automation of business processes.
  • Configure products, processes, and business rules in the system (extensive training will be provided) 
  • Work with IT Vendors, partners, and internal delivery teams in ensuring pragmatic project delivery.

 

Experiences & Skills:

  • Prior experience in Insurance as a Business Analyst.
  • Prior coding experience (any technology) highly regarded.
  • Recent experience in Agile delivery highly regarded.
  • Experience with SQL.
  • Understanding of IT project delivery and agile / DevOps methodologies.
  • Strong documentation skills (Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to understand business requirements in detail.
  • Excellent communication & relationship building skills.
  • Ability to influence people.
  • Ability to work across diverse Asian cultures.
