In the role of Distribution Frameworks & Operations Assistant, you will be part of the UK Distribution team, spanning across both Retail and Commercial Insurance businesses. Working closely with the Commercial Insurance Underwriting and Customer teams, along with the wider business you will interact across all levels primarily helping to deliver on the CI strategy and ensure all broker, MGA and Delegated Authority deals meet compliance and governance standards required.
You will contribute to the development, management and co-ordination of distribution deals and delegated arrangements, and interact with their internal and external relationships. You will get involved in contract reviewing, contribute to negotiation points, and be key to ensuring all governance processes are followed and fully documented. You will maintain records and contribute to associated management information.
In this role you will work closely with the UK Sales Operations and Underwriting Excellence teams helping to drive forward operational activity and achieve high standards of compliance.

What will you be doing?
- You’ll be engaging with colleagues and teams across the business. Working closely with Distribution, Underwriting, Legal, Claims and Compliance teams to facilitate renewals of Broker agreements, MGA and DAA arrangements and fully support the renewal process. You’ll provide the business owners with clarity of the process, clear timelines and guidance.
- You’ll support the Broker Remuneration Agreement Group on applications, delivery and execution of the governance protocols for distribution management working closely with key senior stakeholders across the UK business.
- Supporting elements of the Underwriting Excellence and DAA governance process, you’ll help steer CI arrangements through this important and vital process.
- Assisting in the development and maintenance of distribution procedures and manuals; supporting the wider team in the adherence.
- Providing a central point of enquiry for ZIC / ZIE on Broker agreements, DAAs and MGAs.
- Engaging and participating in external meetings with Brokers, DAAs and MGAs, strengthening the relationship and providing consistent support and messaging.
Additional activity includes:
- Maintaining data quality and deal records.
- Participating in file reviews, audits and compliance reviews, contributing to action resolution and driving outcomes.
- Reporting on in scope business activity.
- Identifying areas for improvement, taking the lead in resolution, and embedding as best practice.
- Participating in ad hoc projects supporting the CI business.
What are we looking for?
As the Distribution Frameworks and Operations Assistant, your skills and experience will ideally include first and foremost being a natural when it comes to planning and prioritising. Having excellent organisational skills and being responsible for your own workload will be essential in this busy and varied role, with the ability to deliver against time schedules for a wide range of activities.
You’ll build strong relationships across functions and interact at business levels both internally and externally. Having excellent communication skills and working with a team to deliver are necessary skills for the role.
You will have an eye for detail and want to ensure processes are followed and documented accurately. You will be able to produce and interpret management information where required.
The role does have some technical aspects to it, so having knowledge of relevant legislation, compliance and regulatory processes are important elements of the role but we can help you get to grips with this; as long as you can show us your learning agility. Ability to balance regulatory and business requirements will be key as you work alongside colleagues to deliver in a dynamic environment.
