Key responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate insurance applications for private clients, ensuring adherence to underwriting guidelines and risk management principles.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers, agents, and clients to facilitate smooth underwriting processes and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Analyse and interpret complex insurance data to make informed decisions on coverage, pricing, and terms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative insurance products tailored to high-net-worth individuals.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for business growth and improvement.
• Provide guidance and support to junior underwriters, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

Your skills and experience:

• Experience in underwriting, preferably within the private clients or high-net-worth segment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risk and make sound underwriting decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.
• Ability to challenge processes and decisions using your attention to detail.
• You’ll naturally adapt your style to different workloads and pressures and be able to think on your feet. Organisation and the ability to prioritise is key in this role.
