Zurich North America is looking for a Finance Intern to work out of our corporate office located in New York City for Summer 2025.

Position Overview: 

As a Finance Intern at Zurich, you will be an integral part of our Finance Team. You will have the opportunity to work within a growing business unit, supporting the Life Accident & Health business. Under the guidance of experienced professionals and mentors, you will contribute to real projects and tasks that enhance the efficiency of our financial processes. 

 

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Improve forecast and planning processes.
  • Analyze complex data to provide valuable business insights.
  • Assist in expense analysis, financial analysis, and reporting.
  • Contribute to data entry for expense management forecasts and plans.

 

During your internship, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Understand insurance Profit & Loss (P&L) statements and financial operations.
  • Gain insights into planning, forecasting, and project management activities.
  • Develop basic/intermediate skills in SAP BPC application and Business Objects queries.
  • Acquire advanced Excel skills and capabilities for data analysis.
  • Explore other functional areas within Zurich through day-to-day work.
  • Develop a deep understanding of insurance operations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program and will be enrolled in the fall of 2025
  • Two or more years of college coursework (should be a rising Junior or Senior) and no prior years of experience required in the administrative area
  • Microsoft Office experience 
  • Be legally eligible to work in the U.S indefinitely    

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cumulative GPA at/above 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Problem solving skills in a customer-focused environment 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Experience in a leadership role 
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently

 

Compensation for roles at Zurich varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Zurich provides in good faith a reasonable range of compensation for roles. Candidates with salary expectations outside of the range are encouraged to apply, and will be considered based on experience, skill, and education. The salary provided is a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled. The starting salary range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00.
