What is the opportunity?

We are currently looking for a Head of Compliance Center of Excellence for Zurich Cover-More (ZCM).  This role will design and implement compliance frameworks, provide expert compliance advice, and support Zurich Cover-More stakeholders in meeting their regulatory and ethical obligations.

Operating in a fast-paced, content-driven environment, this role spans all aspects of the Zurich Cover-More Group, including integration, strategy, and operations. You will work alongside subject matter experts, legal and regulatory specialists, and business leaders to navigate the increasingly complex compliance landscape, ensuring the organization remains resilient, forward-looking, and well-prepared for regulatory challenges.

This position is based in New York City, NY.

What will you be doing?

• Oversee the design and implementation of Zurich Group Compliance frameworks across Zurich Cover-More, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations and industry best practices.
• Lead the development and maintenance of a robust and effective compliance control framework to proactively manage regulatory and operational risks.
• Provide timely, consistent, and reliable compliance advice to business leadership while delivering comprehensive compliance training across the Zurich Cover-More Group.
• Demonstrate strong leadership within the Zurich Cover-More Compliance team, fostering a culture of integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Support compliance oversight and assurance processes, ensuring effective monitoring and governance across the organization.
• Serve as a key partner to local and regional Compliance officers, promoting consistency and alignment in compliance practices.
• Manage relationships with other assurance functions, including Legal, Risk, and Audit, to facilitate a cohesive and integrated approach to governance and risk management.
• Enhance compliance capabilities, leveraging data-driven insights, and drive continuous improvement in compliance operations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key business partners and global colleagues to drive compliance excellence across the organization.

What are we looking for?

• 10 or more years of experience in financial services and regulatory compliance, ideally with a strong understanding of the insurance industry.
• Bachelor's degree in economics, business administration, risk and compliance, law, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification or professional certification in compliance, risk management, or governance is advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements, assess risks, and deliver effective management information and reporting.
• Experience working in a complex and dynamic environment, such as large multinational organizations, with the ability to navigate regulatory and operational challenges.
• Proven ability to operate within a large financial group, building and managing relationships across business lines while collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and present complex compliance matters in a clear and concise manner.
• Proven leadership experience, with the ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
