What is the opportunity?
We are currently looking for a Head of Compliance Operations & Reporting for Zurich Cover-More (ZCM). This role will work directly with the CCO to design and implement the target state both during and after integration, ensuring future-ready capabilities, streamlined processes, and enhanced compliance risk insights.
Operating in a fast-paced, content-driven environment, this role spans all aspects of the Zurich Cover-More Group, including integration, strategy, and operations. You will work alongside subject matter experts, legal and regulatory specialists, and business leaders to navigate the increasingly complex compliance landscape, ensuring the organization remains resilient, forward-looking, and well-prepared for regulatory challenges.
This position is based in New York City, NY.
What will you be doing?
- Oversee the implementation of Zurich Group Compliance frameworks across Zurich Cover-More, ensuring alignment with group standards and regulatory expectations.
- Design and implement Compliance reporting for Zurich Cover-More, both during and post-integration, to support transparency, oversight, and informed decision-making.
- Enhance compliance capabilities by ensuring processes are fit for the future, driving simplification, and generating meaningful compliance risk insights.
- Lead compliance risk assessments across Zurich Cover-More, ensuring risks are proactively identified, assessed, and managed.
- Provide strong leadership within the Zurich Cover-More Compliance team, fostering a culture of integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Deliver consistent, reliable, and timely compliance risk insights to business leadership, decision-making bodies, and governance forums to support informed strategic direction.
- Maintain and strengthen the compliance control framework, ensuring its effectiveness in mitigating compliance risks across the organization.
- Act as a key partner to local and regional Compliance officers, facilitating alignment and consistency in compliance practices.
- Manage relationships with assurance functions, including Legal, Risk, and Audit, to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to governance and risk management.
What are we looking for?
- 10 or more years of experience in financial services and regulatory compliance, ideally with a strong understanding of the insurance industry.
- Bachelor's degree in economics, business administration, risk and compliance, or law, along with relevant experience in these fields.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to deliver effective management information and reporting.
- Experience working in a complex and challenging environment, such as large organizations.
- Ability to operate within a large financial group and build and manage relationships across business lines.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Effective conflict resolution, presentation, and project management skills.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
- In-depth advisory and consultative skills.
